Engineering & Construction

We offer TURNKEY Construction & Engineerning Solutions.
The Engineering Division of SGM Holdings aims to go above and beyond in developing sustainable solutions that empower and uplift the communities we serve.

We have a number of life-transforming projects including bulk water infrastructure,shelter and services for over 500 families in Knysna and essential road rehabilitation in Gauteng, Limpopo, KZN and Eastern Cape

Water Supply Planning, Design and Construction Supervision

  • Bulk water supply feasibility studies, including demand analyses, resource evaluation and life cycle analyses.
  • Municipal, mining and agricultural water supply: design and construction supervision of bulk and reticulation systems.
  • Pump stations and pipeline design.

Groundwater Specialist

  • Groundwater resource evaluation and mapping.
  • Geophysical surveys.
  • Borehole siting, supervision of drilling and equipping of borehole.
  • Well field design, development, management and monitoring.
  • Hydrogeological investigation for waste disposal sites and sanitation.
  • Design & installation of shallow wells and infiltration galleries.
  • Water licence applications.
  • Groundwater quality and pollution.
  • Groundwater modelling.
  • Surface water / groundwater interaction modelling.

Project Management

We work with closely industry to create entry pathways for school leavers into the workplace by offering artisan related training programmes and qualifications that meet the technical skills demands of industry. We use cutting edge technology to deliver these programmes and qualifications and focus on ensuring student success and work readiness, by valuing quality and not quantity.

  • Reporting, evaluating and supervision of contractual procedures.

Skills Development

All training at SGM Holdings is geared towards providing trainees with sufficient skills, knowledge and attitudes to carry out their work effectively and efficiently in a competitive and technologically advanced industries.
